Designer Drapery Hardware

At The Curtain Exchange, we carry a unique selection of drapery hardware, including finials, end caps, poles, brackets, rings, and pole connectors.  Our ready-made hardware comes in modern, traditional, and transitional styles that are available in a variety of finishes. Our finishes include black, bronze, antique gold, chestnut, and brushed nickel, to name a few.  In addition to our ready-made drapery hardware, we also offer custom iron hardware (including return rods), which enables you to customize your window treatments down to the very last detail.

Drapery hardware may seem like a small part of your window treatments, but it can have a large impact on the appearance of your room, depending on how you use it. Your hardware can be used to:

Create Height: If used correctly, you can use your drapery hardware to emphasize the height of your ceilings, or create the illusion of height in rooms with lower ceilings. To create the appearance of higher ceilings, hang your drapery rod at least a few inches above the window frame. Your ceiling will appear the tallest if the rod is positioned as close to the ceiling as possible.

Create Space: You can create the illusion of a wider window by using a longer rod and extending your curtains farther past the window frame.

Create Unity: If your room has multiple windows, this provides you with an excellent opportunity to create unity in the room. All rods should be hung at the same height, which will add interesting horizontal elements to your interior design. Also, by using the same finials on each set of windows, your design scheme will look unified and well thought out.
